All About Tiffany......

Tiffany is a 37 year old mother of two teenage boys aged 15 and 16.  She is happily married to her high school sweetheart, they have been together as Mr and Mrs for 17 years but have been a couple for 21 years. Another important member of her family is her fur baby, her dog.

She has always loved art, painting, and drawing.  She opened her own cake shop and ran that for a number of years creating bespoke, unique, over the top cakes for her loyal customers. She very much enjoyed the imaginative side of things but as the business side of the store amped up she craved the expressive, artistic, playfulness that prompted her to open her shop in the first place.  Therefore she made the incredibly brave, emotional decision to close her store.  Makeup then became her full time creative outlet in 2019 and she has practiced, and honed her skills to a precise, fine art.

We managed to grab Tiffany for a quick interview.  Read on to find out a little bit more about our creative genious..

Q1.  How/when did you realize you had not just a passion but a real talent with makeup?

A1. I have loved makeup since I was 5 years old! I started wearing makeup pretty regularly when I was 13, but I didn’t start getting creative or expressing myself through makeup until April 2019. I began posting looks on my Instagram and Twitter pages in June 2019 and I was immediately hooked. I practiced everyday and started receiving a lot of positive feedback. In October 2019, I had some friends recreating my looks and a couple Indie brands reaching out to me, that was when I realized that I may have a talent for this and not just a passion.

Q2. What are your 3 top products?

A2. I have a lot of products that I use almost daily, but my top 3 would be.. The P Louise Base in Rumour 0 which is pure white and a must have to make my colorful eye looks pop. Kevyn Aucoin Molten Gems Lip Color – I love lip gloss and these are sparkly, beautiful and so comfortable on my lips! Jeffree Star Jawbreaker Palette – I have a lot of palettes that I love, but this is definitely my most used and has every shade I love!

Q3.  What tip or trick that you have learned throughout your makeup journey was a game-changer for you?

A2.  I have hooded eyelids which makes it more difficult to do detailed eye looks, so I learned to create a cut crease just above my natural crease which gives me more lid space and helps prevent transferring of my eyeshadows. Another tip I learned and have used for years is to heat up my eyelash curler with my hair dryer for 3-4 seconds before curling my lashes. It really helps curl them and is something I always do on days when I’m not wearing false lashes. Make sure it’s not too hot before putting it up to your eye by testing it on the back of your hand.

*We are loving these top tip’s, we might do a tutorial using these methods, so, from us to you Tiffany have a virtual high five girl!!!*

Q4. Which cosmetics brand do you use most often?

A4.  There are many brands that I use products from on a daily basis, but the brand I use the most products from the most often would be Lancôme as I use a lot of their skincare products as prep before applying makeup and a lot of their beauty products as well. I swear by their Advanced Genefique Serum & Hydra Zen Glow Moisturizer and I always apply that to my face first before applying their Prep & Matte Primer, Teint Idole Ultra Wear Foundation, Long Time No Shine Setting Powder and finishing with their Fix It Forget It Setting Spray. A very close second would be Anastasia Beverly Hills.

Q5.  Are there any trends, looks, brands or products that you think or know will be big in 2022?

A5.  As for 2022 trends, I feel that Bold Eyes with bright colors, rhinestones and fun Eyeliner will be a big trend. I also think Pastel Eyeshadow will grow even more popular, especially for Spring. Lastly, I think Luminous & dewy skin with less Foundation will be a popular look in 2022.

Closing Personal Message: I want people to know that it’s ok to have fun with their makeup and do whatever it is that they love no matter what age! I am 37 and I still wear bright colored eyeshadow and glitter because that’s what I love and it makes me happy. I feel that no matter your age, you can still put a Rainbow and Glitter on your eyes if that’s what you want to do. There are no rules with makeup, guidelines, sure, but no rules. I also want people to know that it’s never too late to start their journey and work towards their goals. I never thought I would be creating and sharing makeup looks at this point in my life, but if I can do it, anyone can! Always be kind and supportive to others through their journey and you will receive the same in return.

That concludes our very first installment of getting to know our hottest, upcoming Makeup artists and enthusiast’s.

Tiffany is so very relatable.  I am 35, I am a mother of two kids, and sometimes I feel judged for wearing sparkle, glitter or bright colours.  Tiffany feels like that friend you go to when you are needing a little lift. She’s the go to girl when you are feeling like maybe you should convert to how people tell you you “should” be.  One quick visit to her Twitter or Insta account and you throw all of that out of your mind and start using that neon coloured palette that’s been hidden away in the hopes no one sees it.  Suddenly you feel confident and proud to be pulling of such looks in your mid-thirties and just to show the world just how amazing you feel you go one step further and post said looks to Tik-Tok too!!!

Yep, that’s right.  I’am part of the over thirties Tik-Tok club and so is Tiffany.   Find all of Tiffany’s socials below.  Visit them daily for inspiration.

  1. Oh my goodness, some super talented & creative eyeshadow art here.

I love that Tiffany married her high school sweetheart. I’m a sucker for sweet stories like that 💜 It’s interesting that getting creative with make up is a more recent thing for her, that’s cool. Just goes to show you can get new interesting, change your career and develop talents at any point, you don’t have to have been practising since you were a kid. Although applying make-up generally is something she’s done for years anyway.

I used to wear make-up all the time and couldn’t go out without it. That petered off and now I very, very rarely wear it. This post has made me want to dig out some eyeshadow and eyeliner!

    Great post.
    Caz xx

    1. I love makeup too, but I find it difficult to find the time now that I have two kids, so whenever I see images like the ones Tiffany creates, it inspires me to dig out the mascara and eyeliner and take a little me time. Tiffany really is like an artist, it’s not just makeup it’s an art she is creating and her pretty eyes are her canvas. Any creative outlet is a healthy thing to have, and Tiffany has honed her skills perfectly. Thank you so much for your comment and thank you for taking the time to read this post x

  2. Wow its like a piece of art on your face. I wouldn’t want to ever take it off. Tiffany is obviously very skilled at what she does. I’m looking forward to reading more of this series.
